Dale A. Harris, 75, of Cisco went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 18, 2021 in Mineral Wells, Tx. Dale was born May 30, 1945 in Roscoe, Tx to Paul and Flourine Harris. He grew up in Mountain Grove, MO and graduated from Mountain Grove High School. He married the love of his life, Mary “Gigi” Harris on November 9, 1968 in San Angelo and shared 47 adventurous and beautiful years together. Dale was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather who devoted his life to his family and later cherished grandchildren who affectionately referred to him as “Poppy.” Poppy loved spending time with them. He had a passion for life and love for his family that was unsurpassed by anyone. Dale served in the United States Army in Germany- 1964. He worked at IBM for 30 years and traveled to many places all over the world. He retired in 1990 and moved to Brady, Tx. He spent the next phase of his life as a financial planner. Dale’s favorite hobbies were feeding his cattle and spending time with his son and grandchildren. Dale’s fun-loving spirit and life will live on and be cherished in our hearts forever! He was preceded in death by his wife, Gigi and his parents. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dale Ashton & Natalie Harris, of Cisco; his grandchildren, Caylee and Canon Harris, of Cisco; sister Pat “Tishie” Walker, of Abilene; brother Clifford “Shorty” Harris, of Lubbock; sister, Barbara “Bonnie” Damm, of Sweetwater, numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and very close friends. The Memorial Service will be at 10:30am, Monday April 5, 2021 at The First United Methodist Church in Brady with Rev. Bun Jackson officiating.
